Frequently asked questions:
Because of the huge number of questions I receive through facebook, email, comments and such, I have decided to combine all of my answers in one place. Feel free to hop on over to my formspring and ask any question you may have or see if someone may have already asked before you! I love helping anyone I can and this seems to be the most simple way for me to do so. Don’t be shy, as we all have new things to learn, myself included!
Who, what, when, where, how?!
What equipment do you use? I shoot all digital and my camera is a Nikon D300. I have a few different lenses but my go to lens is my prime 50mm f/1.8 . I edit all of my images in Photoshop CS3.
What should I wear to my shoot? Please wear something that you usually wear out. It can be your favorite dress or a funky outfit you threw together one day and just LOVE. All of my shoots are personalized to best show your personality and character. No family portraits in all white shirts and jeans here! Spice it up, bring hats and jewelry and accessories and have fun!
Can I include my pets in our shoot? YES! I am a huge animal lover and own pets myself. They are very close to my heart and I even sometimes call them my children! I know the important role pets can play in someones life, so by all means, if you have a well mannered and calm temperament furry friend you’d like to bring along – please do!
I am not photogenic at all, what can you do for me? I interact with all of my clients like we have always been best friends. I talk to you, we laugh, we joke and we have a great time. All the while, I’m snapping away and the photos are so natural in the end you’ll forget all about being un-photogenic. If the shoot is with your fiance, friend, husband, wife, mother or whatever – I LOVE to just stand back and let the photos unfold before me. I let you have fun and I take care of all the rest with no worries or stress!
I am also a photographer and have some questions for you. Do you share your secrets and tips with other photographers? I am an open book when it comes to teaching what I know. I love to meet and interact with other photographers and even learn things from them myself! If you are a photographer and you have questions for me regarding my photography or work flow, please do not hesitate to ask me on my formspring.
