I have posted quite a few photos here for the past couple of years of Heather. With every shoot, I was fortune enough to learn more about her, get to know her more personally and even learn from her as a fellow artist and photographer. Last weekend’s shoot was probably one that I hold above all of the rest, though. Not only is Heather beautiful, smart, personable, talented, unique and strong – she is also now a mother.
This shoot was very personal for Heather and Penny and I was and still am very touched and humbled that she let into their lives to share in this new experience. I almost wanted to sit my camera down and just watch Heather – so caring, devoted, and in love with her new little baby girl. This is a strange feeling for me, as I have come to the conclusion, though very personal, that I do not want children of my own. Seeing a mother so in love with her newborn baby, though, is truly something to behold. The bond between little Penny and Heather was so personal, so quiet, and so unknown to anyone but them.
Heather, I adore you – and I cannot thank you enough for sharing this time of your lives with me. You and Penny are in my thoughts daily and I really believe you are going to be one hell of a team of ladies. You are not only an outstanding person and woman, but now, an outstanding mother. Know that everyone surrounding you is standing on the sidelines cheering for you and you will always be a light in the lives of everyone you meet, especially Penny Jane.

These are AMAZING. So incredibly soft and beautiful. Plus, I would kill to know how you processed these, the tones are delicious. Great work!
