Danielle first contacted me a few weeks ago. Her email explained that she had moved into her first home, away from her family, in a different state. Her family had previously owned a roller skating rink in Indiana and she wanted to badly to find a piece of her past to fit into her home. According to Danielle, she had searched the internet over and finally come to a photo I had taken while on a random trip to Virginia last autumn. She explained that it was perfect, colors and all, and wanted to know if I would sell her a print.
Of course I was flattered and said “of course!” Of course…under one condition. That she photographed it hanging in her new home and would send me a photo! Last week, I received that photo and seriously? It made my day. The framing is from an old window frame and when she explained it to me (while the photo was in the frame shop), it sounded perfect. But seeing it? She wasn’t lying! Here is the photo that Danielle ordered and the photo of it hanging in her new home. Isn’t it perfect?!
Danielle, I am so glad I could be a part of your history. I hope every time you look at the photo that it brings a smile to your face and all of the amazing and carefree memories from your childhood come flooding back!
