Meet Donna. Donna has been my friend since grade school, which was over 15 years ago. She’s never really been one to care about fancy photos - just carrying a point and shoot everywhere and snapping silly photos of her adventures. She called me Saturday just to talk and when I didn’t answer, she did what any friend would do - showed up at my house!
So after our chit chat and catching up, I had mentioned feeling the urge to do a shoot. Without thinking twice, I asked her if she’d be down and she agreed. I was rather excited, so we changed clothes, put on a little makeup and headed down to the old schoolhouse featured in one of my previous posts.
Donna is a country girl at heart, so she felt a little silly dressed up in one of my dresses and shoes. I thought she looked amazing, though - and she loved the photos after seeing them. So this is what friends are for - modeling for you spur of the moment and trusting you when you say their dress isn’t too short and they don’t look cheesy when making unnatural poses.
This was the fireplace I didn’t even know existed. I should have figured, though, since there is a chimney outside. The bottle and old magazines were already on the mantle.

I have no idea what she is sitting on, so perhaps someone could help me out? It’s like an old cabinet but over on the left side is some sort of metal compartment with a funnel at the bottom. I find it odd to be in an old schoolhouse, since I’m thinking it probably originally belonged in a kitchen and was later placed there.

A little more in her territory with the cowgirl boots.

Relaxing on a hot summer day

Thanks for looking and if you’re interested in scheduling a shoot, just drop me a note via the little message center at the bottom of the site and we’ll see what we can set up!
